Historically, over 50% of the college students from inadequately serviced communities are first generation students. This results in students being ill prepared to manage the complexities of successful college living. Only 88% of Nebraska’s students graduate from high school on time. In addition to the cultural barriers, many students don’t connect the links of their collegiate success and the impact on their futures. Mentoring Plus improves college retention rates, college graduation rates, and college performance rates through the implementation of its College Graduation program.
